The rules for using Roshara, in plain words.
Last updated: 29 October 2026
The short version
- Roshara is a wellbeing companion, not medical care. Nothing here diagnoses you or tells you what to take.
- You need to be 18 or over, and your account is yours alone.
- The community is public. Your words stay yours, and we only ever show them here.
- Roshara is run by a small team. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.
Not medical care
Using Roshara does not make anyone your clinician. Nothing here is a diagnosis, a prescription or advice about your body, and the person writing is not a doctor and says so on every page about treatment. In a crisis, call your local emergency services or a mental health helpline, not this website.
What Roshara is: a place to learn what is happening to you, track it and talk to women in the same season. Articles report what named clinical guidance says and cite it. None tells you a treatment works. That rule is in our editorial standards.
Your account
One account per person, 18 or over. What happens under it is your responsibility, so keep your password to yourself and tell us if someone else gets in.
Close it whenever you like; privacy says what happens to your data. We can close an account that keeps breaking these rules, and we will say why.
What you post
Your words stay yours. Posting lets us show them on this site and nothing more: we will not sell them, licence them on or put them in an advert.
Delete your account and your posts stay, made anonymous, so the women who replied keep the thread. Delete a post first if you want it gone.
What gets removed
Anything that names or identifies another woman without her consent. Anything selling supplements, treatments or coaching. Anything telling another woman what to take. Abuse, including the quiet kinds.
Slurs, hate speech, threats, sexual harassment and swearing are stopped before they reach the page, in English, Urdu and Roman Urdu, full stops between the letters included. You get the words back to change. The mildest swearing passes: not every woman here has the English for a softer word, and we would rather have her post than her silence.
The rest needs a person. Every post and reply has a report link. Every report is read, and removal takes hours or days, not minutes.
Links to other sites
We link to other sites to help, not to endorse them, and we cannot vouch for what they say.
The site will sometimes be down
Roshara is a site run by a small team. Things will break and it will sometimes be offline. Keep your own copy of anything you would hate to lose. The tracker gives you a report of your logs and treatments whenever you want one.
